let's drink to that!

we're almost there.  within the next couple of days, we will have made a decision and we will have a new flat.  after seeing SIXTY flats, there are two in bandra we like ... i like one more then the other, and m likes the opposite one more than the other ... of course.  and then there is one available in byculla, south of here, which sounds great.  we'll see that one tomorrow, and then make a move.  i'm so looking forward to being DONE with the hunt.

we were up at 430 yesterday morning, to catch the live election coverage.  there were waffles, potatoes, eggs, bacon, tons of fruit, and booze.  oh.  yeah.  and there was the naming of a new president-elect.  THE president-elect we were all hoping for.  all in all, an amazing day.  i've never, ever been anything remotely resembling a patriotic person, but i felt it yesterday.  we all did.  the room was filled with (mostly american) expats, and after the results came in, we all looked at each other and agreed with piccolo when he said, 'we can go home now!  we can finally go back!'
