thing number one is that a man, very well-groomed and professionally dressed, came into the store today and very seriously asked if he could try on bras. the girls were HORRIFIED and disgustedly told him to leave. i don't know ... in the last town i lived in, this is not such a strange thing. apparently it is here.
thing number two shocked the hell out of me. i don't know why, but it did. a nigerian couple came in, looking for red lingerie. they didn't find what they wanted, so they left. after they walked out, one of the salesgirls looked at me and said very seriously, 'what were the gorillas looking for?' !!!!!!!!!!!! now, THIS was strange to me. and yes, i yelled at her.

Sweet delicious racism. It's always there to let you know that no matter how far we think we've come, we haven't really come very far at all.
Geez...that is what they are called..probably have much more manners than your assistant. I would have loved to have watched the young ladies horrified at the guy trying on bras. hehe I would have told him yes and next time, PLEASE bring your friends. So you sell underwear? hehe most excellent.
