i'm back in bombay and was welcomed VERY warmly by 3 gigantic cockroaches in the apartment ... one which literally leapt/flew out of the bedroom air conditioner when i turned it on. i basically had a heart attack, followed by a panic attack, then realized i was screaming at the top of my lungs at 130am, and finally rendered speechless when it hit me that I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT. there was no one to yell at (plead with) to handle the bug situation. i'm a huge wuss when it comes to roaches. so i grabbed a shoe (thanks, m!) and started whacking. all 3 of those suckers are now dead ... but i'm gonna be sleeping on the couch, with all the lights on cuz otherwise i know they're gonna start coming out of the woodwork and crawl on top of me when i sleep (if i sleep). shudder. tomorrow i call the land(un)lady get this place sprayed. pronto.
... and tomorrow r + j arrive!
